Privacy Policy

Effective date: [ ] · Last updated: September 2026

Working draft, not legal advice. Especially get this reviewed before serving EU/UK visitors (GDPR/UK-GDPR) or California visitors (CCPA/CPRA) at any real volume.

1. What this covers

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through slatefive.com and our four service pages (Ad Creative, Websites & Design, Web & Mobile Apps, AI Automations), why, and what choices you have.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly — through an inquiry form, email, or call: name, business name, email, and anything else you enter in a brief (product URL, platform, what you want built, etc.)

Information collected automatically — when you browse the site: standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device/browser type, referring site) via Google Analytics, and ad-interaction data via the Meta Pixel.

We do not collect payment card details through the site itself — payment is handled through a separate invoicing/payment provider once you become a client.

3. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers who process data on our behalf (form handling, email, analytics, advertising, hosting) — each only receives what it needs to do its job. We may also share data where required by law. We don't share client briefs or project details outside the people working on your project.

5. Cookies & tracking

The site uses cookies/local storage for analytics (Google Analytics) and ad measurement (Meta Pixel). You can decline non-essential cookies via your browser settings or any cookie banner shown on the site.

6. Data retention

Inquiry/brief data is kept while we're actively discussing or delivering a project, and for a reasonable period after (typically up to 24 months) for follow-up and legal/accounting purposes, then deleted or anonymized. Analytics data follows the retention settings of the underlying tool (typically 14 months by default).

7. Your choices

8. Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Security

We use standard safeguards (encrypted connections, access controls, secure hosting) to protect the data we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes are posted here with a new "last updated" date.
